PRODUCTS
Massanera started producing wine and oil since 1789. Back then, these products were in part consumed locally by the owners and farmers, and in part sold in bulk.
It was only in 1974 that wine started to be bottled and distributed both on the national and international markets with several labels, the most popular of which are Massanera Chianti Classico Docg (including the reserve version) and Prelato di Massanera Igt Rosso Toscana (pure Sangiovese produced from the best grapes of the farm).
These wines clearly and uniquely express the characteristics of the territory where they are produced, besides reflecting the culture of the land from where they originate.
Towards the middle of the eighties, the farm decided to integrate the production of wines and oils with the rearing of semi-wild "Cinta Senese" pigs in the 72 hectares of woods that are part of the farm, and consequently started producing also prestigious salamis, which are marketed with the registered brand of "Compagnia della Cinta" .
